Presentation given to Natural Farming Hawai’i on Tuesday December 14th
Hey Farmer! “Work harder and grow more food with less chemicals because I want to be sustainable and eat local”; or “Hey, what can I plant to become a significant producer in the food supply”.
We can talk all we want about sustainability and food security, but until we take personal responsibility and put the seeds in the ground and learn the agriculture methods that are pono with the earth, then we may as well bury our heads in the sand.
Eating local and eating healthy are major factors in our lifestyle. It is important that we know our farmers who produce the food in our daily lives. The easiest farmer to know is ourselves.
Take responsibility. Plant food.
