KNF in terms we can understand

  • IMO – Citizens (Diverse and multitalented soil life)
  • LAB – Emergency Workers (Police)
  • OHN – Medicine
  • FPJ – Food
  • BRV – Cleanser
  • FAA – Fuel (Meat, helps plants get chubby)
  • WCP – Structure (Bones, helps plants get strong & lanky)
  • WCA – Fruit (Eggs, helps plants fruit)
  • SEA – Gatorade (Minerals, rejuvenate soil &  sweeten fruit)

Natural Farming Hawaii aims to localize the terms of Korean Natural Farming to hawaiian culture and understanding.

These terms provide a clear association with words and concepts modern hawaiians are a familiar with. When we call the solution by its use the application becomes intuitive. For example:

  • If a plant looks sick, we use medicine. (OHN)
  • If a plant looks hungry, we use food. (FPJ)
  • If a plant has mildew, we use the cleanser. (BRV)
  • Etc.

These three OHN, FPJ, and BRV are almost always used together in natural farming, and sometimes collectively referred to as the Maintenance Solution.

The maintenance solution helps you generally upkeep your plants and soil biology and is applied at 30 gallons per acre once a week as necessary.

The other solutions are combined in Nutritive Cycle Theory helping the plant reach optimal potential. You may from infer from their names how they are used.

Long live the natural farmer!

What Makes You a Natural Farmer?

At the most basic foundational level, Natural Farmers promote deep living soils produced by diverse and powerful Indigenous Micro Organisms (IMO).

In more advanced practices, Natural Farmers use edible solutions to complement the natural growth cycle of plants recognizing 3 distinct stages of Leaf, Flowering, and Reproductive Growth.

Natural Farmers are also famous for raising pigs and chickens with no smell and no cleaning, and flies are not attracted because beneficial micro organisms outcompete disease.
