Indigenous Micro Organisms – March 2015 Meeting

Clean water, clean air, healthy food, it all starts with robust life cycling nutrients in functioning subsoil systems. Indigenous Micro Organisms are the original life that has been working for countless generations to purify our Earth’s surface, and they can do it again, in record speed with our help.

Indigenous Micro Organisms were the topic of the March 2015 Natural Farming Hawai’i Meeting and Potluck. Drake has been intentionally working with IMO since mid 2008 and has combined the knowledge of Master Cho, Gil Carandang and Elaine Ingham along with other cutting edge research in fermentation and beneficial micro organism propagation.

Dr. Jeff Tomberlin on Black Soldier Flies

IMAG1722Your chickens on soldier flies. In just two weeks of feeding a diet supplemented by Black Soldier Flies, Robert Olivier of Compost Mania is able to increase the egg size by jaw dropping proportions. The egg on the far left is from the store, the egg in the middle was from before enriching the diet, and the egg on the right is now the common size from the flock.

Soldier flied may be the answer you are looking for in your poultry’s diet. Check out the full lecture by Professor Jeff Tomberlin of Texas A&M University given in Hilo Hawai’i on March 13th 2013.
